Acronym for Entertainment Software Rating Board. It is an American organization that classifies video games' content based and suggests a recommended age to play them. It is equivalent to the European PEGI. It was created to prevent children from accessing inappropriate content for their age. In addition to the recommended age indicator, it adds labels that indicate the sensitive content it includes, such as violence, explicit language or drug use. This classification includes: Everyone, Everyone 10+, Teen, Mature 17+, Adults Only 18+ or Rating Pending.
