Cutscene

A cutscene is a scene where the player is not in control. It is played automatically and uses cinematic resources to narrate the game's story. They are also known as "cinematics" for that reason. Cutscenes can be generated in real-time by the game's engine to look like the rest of the game. Otherwise, they also can be pre-rendered and included as a video within the title for higher graphic quality.
